Photo a Day Challenge - 16.10.2018 - Chocolate.

Postcard send to my Family in 1970.

American Black Bear and Cubs.
Cubs of both black and brown color are not uncommon in one litter.  Adult bear averages 250 lbs.  They climb trees readily and are friendly.

Yellowstone National Park.

We saw two lovely bears today, they came up and looked in the windows.  We also saw old faithful sprout, it was very beautiful.  We've seen lots of hot springs but boy the weather is cold.

I made this quilt for the 2002 Kambrachallenge which was 'Stripes'.  It's just two pieces of fabrics, the blue on top of the stripe, I used reverse applique to depict our beautiful Harbour.

Photo a Day Challenge - 11.10.2018 - Black.

 I made this, mostly black quilt for the 2012 Kambrachallenge which was - 'Make something you've always wanted to make'.   I always wanted to make a 'Penny Rug', mine is actually a 'Pennie Rug' 😉  and I love it, the woolen fabric was wonderful to sew with... I wonder why I've never made another one?
