Photo a Day Challenge - 30.7.2023 - Words on a Sign.

We discovered this Paris in Idaho back in 1970, I just did a Google search and found there is more than one Paris in the USA.

Here the same Paris we visited back then as it is today.

Photo a Day Challenge - 29.7.2023 - My fav word...

This is a tricky one...  I think I have to say my favourite word and a word I'm well known for has to be...

Poopootoshirley

The Story.

My Great Aunt Nancy aka Aunty Cranky, travelled the world a lot during the mid 1950's to early 1960's, she sent many postcards which you can see here...  Postcards from Aunty Cranky.  When she returned home she had so many wonderful stories that I could never get enough of and the one I've never forgotten is when Cranky and my cousin Sue were on the top deck of a double decker bus going down Regent Street in London and they saw a young large woman skipping along and lifting up her skirt up over her head while singing 'PoopootoShirley' 'PoopootoShirley' 'PoopootoShirley'.   We will never know who Shirley was but maybe she was this young woman's Carer?

Nancy and Sue.

Great Aunt Ella is flowering once again.

My Great Aunt Ella Camellia came from Ella's garden below, she was indeed a wonderful gardener who turned this unused tennis court into a wonderful place to visit, Ella, Rip, Meredith and Nick in the middle... a long time ago.
And look at this beautiful Pansy below!

Now here's my story...

After many weeks of Chemo then an Operation to remove the cancer from my breast, the last 6 doses of Chemo had to be cancelled because of my dreadful side effects, then onto Radiation.  At my second last Radiation I was admitted to Emergency at The San because of a very painful infected lump under my arm.

I found this very interesting information in the Windeyer Ward at The San and
below the machine that does the job.

On the ward with one drip going into me and one drip draining the infection out of me... Yuck!

Dunno who this is below!

My View!

Jackson came to visit me after his 4 weeks overseas, so lovely to see him.

One Breakfast!  Yum.

Morning time.

5 long long long nights later...  I'm HOMEEEEE... Cancer is all gone but the a lot of the yucky side effects are still ongoing.

A couple of lovely Grandkids came for a visit.
Elodie loves pulling faces.
Remy requested this Raggy Quilt which I now realize is far too small for him...
HE'S AS TALL AS ME now and he's only 10, I'm almost 10 x 8!!

  What a little sweetie!
