ANZAC Day - thinking about my Dad and his 25 years of service in the Army - Lieutenant Colonel Ripley Clements Rodd.

Dad called his sailing boat UBIQUE, I always knew it was something to do with his Army Service but never what it actually meant till I found the above this morning.  Wonderful!

During WW11 Ripley Clements Rodd served in the 2/3rd Anti Tank Battalion in Egypt.

Guess what I'm baking...

Yay!  ANZAC Biscuits (without Coconut).  The oldest recipes for these didn't have coconut in them and that's the way I've always baked my ANZAC Biscuits.

So lovely to be welcomed to my Office this morning by this beautiful Huntsman Spider.

It's always wonderful to see Huntsman in our home, below is some info... I've never been afraid only grateful for what they do for us.

Huntsman Spider

Huntsman spiders have an unfortunate reputation. One is their name. The other is a tendency to take up residency in your home or your car and scare the bejesus out of you.

But they are harmless to humans and very useful in controlling mosquito and cockroach numbers.

May signals the end of the busy season for a lot of spiders. For many, life will end, while others will start seeking a secure shelter to sleep through winter. But not all are winding down, as there are still some making their daily rounds while there is a touch of warmth in the air and food to be had.

Thank you DavidDarling.

I've been thinking we needed a hand rail on these steps for a long time now then last week one of my tennis friends had a nasty fall, she is perfectly fine but that reminded us...  so DavidDarling put this beaut and very strong hand rail up for us all.  Hurray!  My Tennis friends are delighted.

Lovely day celebrating three April Birthdays.

Bailey joined us as well, here he is enjoying some ice in his water along with Elodie.

Remy is a terrific tennis player, with a little help from his dad.

Wow!  Gwilym made us this delicious Focaccia.
Pennie put together a couple of cakes, one for Charlie and one for Elodie but the best of all was the delicious Pineapple and Rockmellon Flowers with strawberries sent to us by our Canberra family... Yum!

Charlie is into Surfing now!  he has his own board and heads off to Manly by public transport every now and then. Wow! That's keen.

Elodie loves Babuskhas so I made a couple of things for her, this framed cross stitch below plus a little Babushka cushion I didn't take a photo.

Everybody is so helpful on these occasions setting tables, organizing food, washing up, putting away and so much more but the only photo I took was of Remy helping Gwilym put the tables back in place.
Three Toyota's!  Just up Jack's alley, he's loving working with Toyota!
