Today I'm making one of those Pinata Cakes for Charlie's 13th Birthday Party tomorrow.

I'm cheating by having bought the cake but I'm just a tad nervous about icing it, I'm sure I can put the three bottom layers together and fill it with lots of lollies and I'm sure I can put the top on but what about the icing??   bit nervous about that I am, it's the first time I've done something like this but looking forward to it... Red and White was the request, for the team Charlie follows in he UK... Liverpool Football Club... wish me luck.

...  Silly me... I'll be fine, just had a little look at some of the cakes I've made over the years!  😀😀😀

We remember them, not just today but through the year as well, what brave young people they were.

1.  Alex Long, Tremayne Rodd, Frank Amphlett, Millicent Armstrong.
2.  Harold Bishop, Raymond Bishop, Harrie Cobcroft, Alex Griffiths.
3.  Edward Griffiths, Robert Griffiths, Jim Hogarth, Alex Long.
4.  Brent Rodd, Clements Rodd, Ella Rodd, Tom Atkins.
5.  John Evans, Keith Evans, Mervyn Griffiths, David Quiddington.
6.  Ripley Rodd, Rosie Cobcroft, Clements Rodd, Tony Cobcroft.

Three of these young people died overseas while in battle, two committed suicide many years after their return home, two served in two wars and 17 lived happy lives bringing up families.

We never forget their courage and love for their country as well as for their families.
I knitted this ANZAC Poppy for myself using one of my Dad's Army buttons and I wear it with pride!

Hey Guess What ... the Easter Bunny visited our home today...

David and I received a Bunny instead of eggs we're happy with that 😃😃😃

There were eggs on the doormat, eggs on the Bonsia and... Eggs everywhere!

What a haul these three found.

Then it was time for lunch starting with Goats cheese with Truffle, hot smoked Salmon, Charcoal Bisc with sugar peas and carrot.

One of my very favourite salads is this Orange and Avocado Salad with the addition of some Pomegranate this time... yum.
And below some raw mushrooms with more pomegranate.

The Marinated Chicken from Aldi was a winner.
Some people enjoyed Pumpkin and Potatoes as well.

Then the Dessert Queen unveiled her Hot Cross Bun Ice Cream Cake.
 Seriously Yummy it was!
