Thinking of my 4 X Great Grandfather who stole a Wether to get a free trip to Australia!

(Wethers are adult male sheep that have been castrated so they cannot breed.  Wethers are used for wool production.)

Photo a Day Challenge - 19.1.2023 - The View from here.

Not today's view but it was for 4 hours yesterday at The San, while having my 3rd dose of Chemo.

Here's a photo of me taken on my 19th Birthday, gosh 58 1/2 years ago at Prince Henry Hospital, Little Bay on my first day of Nursing, didn't last long after a year of trying to give injections and failing, creeped me out they did so I headed to other fields.

No sun here today so lets sing along to one of my favourites from the Beatles.

Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-dooHere comes the sun, and I sayIt's alright
Little darlin', it's been a long, cold, lonely winterLittle darlin', it feels like years since it's been here

Little darlin', the smile's returning to their facesLittle darlin', it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sunHere comes the sun, and I sayIt's alright
Sun, sun, sun, here it comesSun, sun, sun, here it comesSun, sun, sun, here it comesSun, sun, sun, here it comesSun, sun, sun, here it comes
Little darlin', I feel that ice is slowly meltingLittle darlin', it seems like years since it's been clear

Do you like my new Bucket Hat?

The last couple of months haven't been much fun for me but I'm getting there, my third Chemo and hopefully final will be on the 18th so not long now and then many visits to The San till mid May checking and checking that the lump in my breast has gone.

Yes I've lost all my white too fine hair, most of it came out in hand fulls but there were several fine strands that David cut off for me yesterday thankfully so now I'm looking forward to seeing if  I'm lucky enough to get curls!  I would just love it.

So many side effects have been unpleasant, fatigue big time and mouth ulcers not good and really looking forward to saying goodbye to them.

Amazingly beautiful, compassionate and caring Dr's and Nurses, I can't praise them enough and I look forward to going to see them each appointment.

Photo a Day Challenge - 4.1.2023 - Something New.

Here's something new you probably weren't looking forward to seeing... Three weeks ago I needed to go to Emergency for the silly stuff that is going on in my body and even though I had my Portacath in place one of the Nurses thought she could get blood from my left arm!  Never before has this been tried, I know I have very fine veins but????  This Bruise hasn't changed in more than 3 weeks!  Just saw my local Dr John and he promises me it will go away eventually.

I might be awarded a Medal for Bruising one day I've always been very good at it   ðŸŽ–🤣

Photo a Day Challenge - 1.1.2023 - Hello!

Hello 2023!  Look at me, almost no hair left after Chemo for Breast Cancer which is going well and with one more dose to go hopefully.   I'm really looking forward to welcoming my 'new' hair and wondering what it will be... will it be curls?  I'd like that for a change, what colour will it be... any will do.

Below David took a photo of me with my Portacath which makes Blood tests and the Chemo very easy to get in and out.
