A lovely few days in Canberra...

My bed was beautifully decorated by James William, he took this ribbon off and gave it to me to take home, how lovely is he.

We were celebrating JW's 4 3/4 Birthday with these Pirate Cupcakes decorated with gold sprinkles and the odd gold coin!  Yum!

David found and put this top on James table!

Then it was time to head home, lovely few days it was.

Can you find Penniedarling in this photo... I did not like this school one little bit!  Got a detention for taking my hat and gloves off on the bus on the way home in the middle of summer, it was a 60 minute bus ride!

What a fun lunch that was...

I managed to get ten friends together yesterday, they came from the east, the west, the north and the south of our suburb.   Nine of them had children attending our local primary school, some up to 40 years ago, most of them have played with our tennis group and two of them I first met 62 years ago when we were at Willoughby Girls Primary School...  but all of them are inspiring, interesting and fun people.
We did indeed have the bestest of days... oh and a lovely lunch as well as everyone brought some finger food to share!
Back left... Vicki, Kaye, Val, Caroline, Anne, Mavis, Lorraine, Robyn and in front Pennie and Jo.

Photo a Day Challenge - 15.3.2019 - Kid.

As a Kid I did a couple of gigs at Aunt's Weddings, here I am aged six at Aunt Pam and Uncle Mick's wedding, Pam is Rosie's younger sister.

And below on the far right I'm 10 years old at my Aunt Audrey and Uncle David's wedding, that's my dad Rip in uniform, Audrey was his youngest sister.
I remember these occasions so well and these dresses probably decided me on my own fashion rules many years later.  I remember these dress's I'm wearing with fear,  they were sticky and itchy and floaty and the sleeves cut into my arms something horrible.  I think it was from this day that my mind decided never to wear anything like this again.   I remember enjoying these days and I did love my Aunts and Uncles but... that dress... I wonder where it is now?

Maybe that dress is the reason I made my own Wedding outfit out of a much more comfortable cotton and wore it many times after, until it was stolen in our luggage in Italy that is.  Much more comfortable it was.

A fun visit from Remy and Gwilym last weekend, how lucky are we.

Hey Charlie... Look what Remy is doing to the Cans!

David and Gwilym just clipped one end of the Ring Pulls, then Remy and Gwil joined them all up.
Wow!!

Then it was time for a little House Building.

The garden needed watering.

 Trying not to get wet.

A drawing just for me 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

One very funky hairbrush!

I loved the simplicity of this quilt, I gave it to a nephew and unfortunately it was burned in a bush fire a few years ago.

Photo a Day Challenge - 12.3.2019 - My Mood Today.

You have to guess... Am I a little shocked or a little surprised?
 Am I mean and nasty?
Am I happy to see you?
Am I feeling just a tad Alien?
 Am I feeling well loved?
Am I feeling a little twisted?

Or am I feeling 'Away with the birds?'
