When a 10 year old requests a Raggy Quilt what's a Grandmother to do but order these lovely flannels online from Hobbysew, they are just beautiful and feel so cosy.

Yesterday I managed to get back to some knitting!

Fingers are still very hurtie but I did manage to get one sleeve in, not far to go now Yay!  Can't wait to wear this new stripy cardy, it is getting a tad chilly around here!

Photo a Day Challenge - 21.5.2023 - I went to...

As a teen and after reading several books by Barbra Cartland and others that told of English people not being allowed to marry the person they chose because they weren't the right 'class', would rush up to the Scottish border and marry at Gretna Green...  This was on my mind, getting Married at Gretna Green was my dream.

When I arrived in the UK to marry David he had everything planed and Gretna Green wasn't on his wish list.  We did eventually get there but...  so glad we didn't get married here, it was just a petrol station,  although now days it looks a lot better than it was back then.

For Breakfast today... I enjoyed!

Yes you are seeing okay!  Oysters, Apple, and my Apple, Carrot, Mint and Ginger Juice.

Our Tree man Mark came today to see about cutting down these two beautiful trees that we planted sometime in the early 1980's, they've served us well but we will miss them and their lovely fresh smell.

What a lovely day yesterday was, Mothers Day.

So many beautiful pots of flowers and a hanging basket, my children certainly know what I like.

Plus my two most favourite sweets... Choo Choo Bars and Bournville Dark Chocolate!

I was telling the Grandkids, when I was their age...  Some Saturday's if I was good I was given
One Shilling which would buy me a ticket to see a couple of movies costing 9 pence leaving 3 pence for a large Choo Choo Bar.  I explained that one Shilling was now 10 cents... I don't think they quite got it. 😊

I also enjoyed lovely chats with Briony, Kate and James in Canberra, Susan in Melbourne and Tomos and George driving to their cricket match in London, what a lovely family I have!
