I think the Cricket was just too much for the youngest of our team...

Asleep in the trolley on the way home to Peepee's.

Update for Gwil and Em, who have 'gone party' :-)

Quiet time with iPads last night before Charlie went home with Tim. (Charlie's cricket game is closer to home)
Breakfast bright and early of 'Bix and Tanas'.
Naughty... there is a great fascination of bringing the play tower ladder into the office and climbing on top of the desk!
All off to watch Jack play Cricket up at the Oval... Some naughty shopper parked their IGA trolley in our garden, Nerys saw them it was two young girls two doors up... came in handy with all that Cricket gear, two Chairs, a large Esky and Remy.
Off they go...

Photo a Day Challenge - 29.11.2014 - So this happened...

... exploded in our wine room in the middle of the night.   I rang the makers, they took my address but I never heard from them again!  I wonder if this juice is still available in the shops?

Peepee's turn to climb the ladder.

Just loving our Remy time...

I put a new seat on this old stroller of Briony's and this little man is doing what many others have done before him!   We started our walk pushing Panda up the street, then Panda pushed the stroller, with a little help from Remy... we stood and watched fascinated as Matt, our neighbour mowed his lawn, maybe this is a new experience for a little man who lives in the inner city  :-)  Then Peepee pushed Remy and Panda home.
Out we get... and it's time for some Bubbles!  That's what he calls water!

Then lots and lots of Blueberries!

Now it's quiet time with a bowl of crushed ice, some more bubbles and 'In the Midnight Garden'.

This is what my forehead looked like a couple of months ago.

My skin specialist marked the 'spot' then took a photo with my iPhone.

The Surgeon cut my skin then opened it up to get the cancer out... Yuck Yuck Yuckety Yuck!

Better out than in!

Day Three - What the??? How can something that was so invisable need such an enormous cut?

Better all out than in I guess but I'm shocked!  I know there are hundreds of stitches in there and it took the Surgeon a long time playing around with my forehead but... Yikes!

I've washed my hair... Hurray!

Airing our dirty laundry.

This is clean, this handkerchief has just been through the wash but when I was hanging out the washing I thought... enough is enough!  This has to go in the bin!

Yes David still uses cloth hankies... yuck!  He's never been one for tissues and man tissues are just a waste of paper says he.

This is one of his handkerchiefs that he got before Nerys was born, he was working at Choice Magazine at the time and they tested stains and washing powders on lots of different handkerchiefs.  After the test David couldn't see a good hanky go to waste so he bought some home.

Death Notice.
A Handkerchief died today, it had been in continuous service, with the same owner and trainer for more than 43 years.  Buried in a waste bin somewhere on the North Shore of Sydney.  It did a good job and will be sadly missed!

Photo a Day Challenge - 18.11.2014 - I love this.

I've only just found this photo, the man in the middle is David's Grandfather, I've never seen a photo of his Griffiths Grandfather before.  What a nice looking man he was.  That's his mother beside him and on the left is his brother Eddie and on the right is his brother Rob who is just home from a Turkish P.O.W. Camp.  The photo was taken in early 1919.

I love this photo not only because I can see what my husband's Grandfather was like but is also says a thousand words about family and the relief they must be feeling now that all the brothers are home safe and the War is over.

Friendship Ring? Were you ever given one by some beautiful young man?

David and I were watching 'Grease' last night, what fun that movie is and of course I love all the music.  I remember taking the kids to see it and they just loved it.  Seen it a few times now I have.

That scene with Sandy and Danny in the car at a Drive-In when he's trying to take off his ring to give to Sandy and it's rather tight so when he does eventually get it off his finger...  his elbow bumps into Sandy...  So sweet but painful.

Anyway I asked David if he'd ever given any girlfriend a Friendship Ring and he said no he was too geeky to do that and then I remembered that I had been given one when I was about 14 or 15 years old.

The shameful thing is I cannot remember the name of this beautiful young man, I know he lived at Newport Beach and that he caught the same bus to school that I did but??? his name???  is just not coming to me.  And... I can't remember ever going out with him, I think we just chatted on the bus.

Now I am feeling really mean and dreadful because this boy made this ring for me, he made it using a 2/- piece, yes it was so long ago it was Pre-decimal currency.

Isn't it beautiful?

See the inside, yes it is indeed made from a 2 shilling piece.

When I showed it to David he was most impressed especially seeing it was adjustable as well :-)

The really awful thing is that this boy asked for his ring back a few months later.

You know another awful thing... The movie 'Grease' has a lot of bullying in it, much to my shame I never noticed before, I just took it for granted which now makes me feel even more ashamed.
