I designed this Engagement ring of mine, it was made in Guildford, Surrey after we were married!  yes we do do things differently :-)  my wedding ring was given to me by David's Grandmother before I left Australia heading to the UK to marry her grandson.

A couple of weeks ago I put some of my old jewellery on, love the stuff but now days I just find it annoying to wear.  Found an old gold ring I hadn't worn for years, gold with tiny little Rubies in a flower like circle given to me by David on our 40th Wedding Anniversary.  This ring was a bit too tight on a ring finger so I put it on one of my little fingers.


At the end of the day I realized it was missing!

So I searched the house - kitchen, office, downstairs loo, sewing room, chairs, floors and on and on I searched!  I even searched the rubbish bins, I searched the dishwasher, I searched where I'd been outside for almost two weeks... nothing.

But!  Today I was looking for something in the sewing room and just glanced at these baskets of fabric...

AND...  there was my ring just sitting quietly on this old fabric below, sitting there for more than two weeks.
It is now in a safer place and not on any of my fingers!   Phew!
