My Happy Dress.

Now here's the story of my Happy Dress!

Long long ago way back in the late 1970's I bought this wonderful dress that I called my 'Happy Dress' the fabric is a strong cotton and so brightly coloured how could it not make the wearer but also those seeing the wearer pass by... happy!

Unfortunately over the years my Happy Dress shrunk in my dressing room but in early 2016 it was rescued by Nerys who asked could she please have my Happy Dress!  Oh course she could but she asked if I could make it shorter!  Well I did hesitate but I am now so pleased I did cut off the bottom for her.

My Happy Dress as it was for about 36 years and below as it is now!
Doesn't it look just stunning on our Nerys!

I started to turn the cut off piece into a Bucket Hat to hide the fact that all my hair has fallen off but my fatigued head just couldn't do it then thankfully one of My SCQuilter friends offered to finish it for me... don't I look stunning!  Thanks Lynne.
I knitted this one below for day to day use.

In early March our 16 year old Washing Machine broke down...

But Quick as a Flash David ordered and was delivered a new one.

Good bye you wonderful machine... and HELLO to this smart looking new machine!
I have to admit that I haven't used this beautiful looking machine yet, I've been far too fatigued to put it on but thankfully I have my favourite husband David by my side and very aware of how to use one of these machines.

Late last month and into this month we were lucky to have Tomos come from London for more than 3 weeks.

Didn't take many photos which is so unlike me but all this Chemo stuff is wearing me down.

While we were enjoying lunch look who surprised us by just popping around the corner.
Yay!  James and his Mummies.
Three beautiful Grandson's Charlie, James and Jackson.

Yesterday at The San!

Started off in this room with the lovely sun keeping me warm while they pumped Chemo into me.

As the hours rolled on I was moved to this room below... not a very good view is it!

Had to see what these toilets said... there was a third one for Staff.

After about 5 hours of Chemo they pumped some blood into me and then it was home beautiful home!
A good day with 7 more weeks of the same stuff to come.
Beautiful Nurses and and and... this week I got not one but TWO Lemonade Ice Blocks Yay!
I know what to ask for next time when they offer me tea or coffee neither of which I drink.

Gosh this has been a fun morning, so much happening here.

Niall came early and did a great job in our garden.

Woolies delivered one very big shop.

Our 16 year old washing machine died, David did try to fix it for days with no luck.

My SCQuilty friend Liza popped in for a lovely long catch up.

Yesterday afternoon David ordered a new Washing machine which arrived at 1pm today.

Clothes are in it and washing away!  Yay!  What a fun day.

And then...  Tomos came back from his wonderful trip catching up with friends up north.
He's now gone off to catch up with lots more of his old friends!  but will be home here tonight.

Today is St David's Day!

This David of mine deserves a medal, all the stuff he's been helping me with during this horrible Chemo time of mine has been wonderful, all the trips to The San Hospital for treatment... he's there for me.

Happy St David's Day David Griffiths!
