David enjoyed a good walk with his brother Andrew yesterday, it's been many many months.

David and Andrew met at Wynyard Station, York St side.

Andrew with 'The Car' (a work of art?) is in Hickson Road.

Harry's pie shop is in its old spot in Woolloomooloo.

8.5 k's  and 9 flights of stairs from Turramurra to Kings Cross Station and return.

 I believe in Family.

Here are the bestest and loveliest people on the planet! Gosh how many are here ?  more than 50 back in 2012 on Rodd Island to Farewell Rip'n'Rosie... today I think there would be over 60.

This Cocky pops in every day, I try not to feed him every day but he/she hops about, looks through the window at me then goes to another window to see why I'm taking so long.

I gave in again today and gave her a few of these native bird seeds which were gobbled up before he/she went under the table to find any that had fallen off.

Photo a Day Challenge - 30.10.2021 - I have to...

I have to enjoy some knitting or sewing while watching a couple of hours of telly each night, I find it very hard to watch if my hands aren't busy.

This is my latest Vest, I'm knitting it with these lovely wools from a cardigan I knitted back in the 1980's but just got over the length of and the length of the arms... so I unpicked this cardigan below and almost finished my vest!  I find a vest a lot more comfortable to wear and just as warm as a long sleeve garment.

This will be called ... My Lockdown Vest!

All finished and ready to wear, Love it!

The Wedding of my Aunt Audrey Rodd and Uncle David Dixon bace in October 1955, I am on the far right and ten years old.  That's my dad Rip one away from me.  Lovely memories of beautiful people.  My Uncle David is still living in his own home and doing well.

Photo a Day Challenge - 28.10.2021 - I can't...

I can't drink Tea, Coffee or Alcohol...they don't like me.

I can't eat Chillies, Onions or Celery... then don't like me either.

I can't take Penicillin, I can't smoke Weed and I can't smoke Ciggies... the only one here that doesn't like me is the first one, the other two I've never been interested in.

I pride myself in my Weirdness!  Well I do now but not in the 1960's, I was the only one.

Photo a Day Challenge - 25.10.2021 - On Monday's I...

Wash on Monday, Iron on Tuesday, Mend on Wednesday, Churn on Thursday, Clean on Friday, Bake on Saturday, Rest on Sunday.

An old saying that I try not to adhere to so when I wash on Monday I always gggrrrrr... to myself!    I know I'm silly but after all these years I still shake my head!

Where did this little ditty come from?  off to Wiki!

Wiki says...

Do you do your household chores on a schedule, taking care of one big job on a specific day every week? Oh, to be so organized!

It may not work for me, but, traditionally, American homemakers did seem to have set-aside days for the major chores of their week. Of course, meals had to be cooked and dishes done and beds made every day, but some chores could be handled less often.

According to American author, Laura Ingalls Wilder, the chores in her day were set on this schedule. Ingalls Wilder chronicled her family’s pioneer life in a series of books, the most famous of which was Little House on the Prairie.

So what do I do on Mondays??   The only thing I know I do every Monday is get out of bed but I do that every day don't I!

I won't be doing the same as I was doing last Monday that's for sure because I can't remember all the things I was doing way back then.  It was George's Birthday and we did enjoy a lovely long video chat with him on Messenger, it was also my long time friend of 76 years and three months Birthday... SMurray was born just three months after I was, our Mum's were friends, we are yet to catch up but this will happen soon... and... and... and... exciting... I was at the Dentist last Monday.

Today is my niece Hayley's 37th Birthday, Happy Birthday Hayley 🥳  🎉  🥳

You will have to come back later for a photo of what I'm doing, too early right now.

Almost Noon soooo... On this Monday I...

Picked up David's Newspaper from the footpath.

Enjoyed a very mixed Breakfast... oh with an Orange cut up by David as well.

Then I Gggggrrrrrr....  I know, I know but it's a beautiful sunny day and our towels just love that sunshine.
After putting this post up I will be concentrating on deleting, tagging and sorting more than 18,000 Photos in my iPhoto, I managed to delete 1,000 photos yesterday just from this year, I will be starting with December 2020 and hopefully make it to January 2020 without getting too bored.

This afternoon I will be concentrating on my Doily Quilt, adding this old embroidery to borders.

David has been just as busy and important as I have this Monday, firstly he mowed the lawn.

Then he got into Gwilym's Ford Falcon... literally got 'IN' the falcon while putting brake oil into the brakes... I think...
Dunno what we do on Monday afternoons, I know we will enjoy lunch, and a bit of TV tonight, all exciting eh!  😘

Oh the Shock I received when this arrived in our letterbox yesterday...

Our Letterbox does have a 'Please No Junk Mail' sign on it but... these people just don't care.

I have been making Vegemite and Parmesan Crisps before the children were born, that has to be more than 50 years and it's still one of the most requested foods when family gather, along with Peanut Butter Cookies and Great Aunt Carol's Fudge.

I don't use a Pizza Base though, I use Lebanese bread.

Today I just had to make one of these 'Vegemite Goodness' Pizza's these people are making for a limited time only!

Bought a really good base and did my thing, below is the result.

Now I'm not being mean, it was 'okay' but mine are far better.

Split Lebanese Bead, butter, Vegemite and Parmesan Cheese baked,
then when cooked broken up into easy to eat pieces!  Delicious
These Crisps of mine are popular with English friends, American friends and all over Australia friends.

There were two Pizza Bases in the pack I bought so I made a delicious Seafood Marinara Pizza for lunch.  seriously good this was so a really good base but not for Vegemite and Cheese.

Photo a Day Challenge - 23.10.2021 - I love this time of Day.

I love when some native birds pop in for a little nibble of some native bird seed, this King Parrot and Cockatoo are regular at the moment, they just give me a little 'hello' when they arrive and wait patiently for me to get the seed.
We haven't seen Mandy for a few months now, I wonder where she is and just hope she's happy.

Photo a Day Challenge - 21.10.2021 - I read this...

Wood Green, London back in 2005/6.  I still wonder about this sign, can't decide if it made the crack hoses it didn't shut down... shut down or ... did they thrive??

Yesterday I did something I have never done before...

I cut David's hair... well the noisey clipper thingy I used cut his hair, I just tried to show it the way, couldn't get those long bits on the top though.  (We found a hair dresser kit in our family bathroom, we believe it once belonged to Gwilym?  or Tomos?)
David is very happy but what to do with the left overs on the lawn?
