Photo a Day Challenge - 30.10.2022 - Mellow.

This tune is sure to give you an ear worm... as lovely as it is.  Sung by Donavon way back in 1966!

They call me Mellow Yellow
They call me Mellow Yellow
(Quite rightly)
They call me Mellow Yellow

Our garden is looking wonderful today, not only with a beautiful sky and SUN! but after our gardener Niall spent a couple of hours here.

Vines tied up dead leaves blown off the vines and the bricks.
Pool cover is clean again.

Wow!  Our Bottlebrush is spectacular, not a good photo I will have to try to do better.
Niall has wanted to prune our beautiful lavender hedge for a while now but I almost cry when he suggests it, today I was listening to a gardening segment on the radio and they said that Lavender is very hard to grow in Sydney!  NOT here it isn't... so maybe that's because of Niall, I'll let him prune next time, he certainly knows what he's doing.
Only two more days till the Melbourne Cup races and our flowering jasmine is staying true to form.

We have a beautiful sunny day here today so what will we do????

Our list for today...

David and I've known Neill for about 57 years, he's a good friend, he had a nasty skin cancer taken off this week and is doing well!

Tilly's Aran Jumper is finished, packed and on it's way to London  😘   This is the 10th time I've knitted this pattern for ourselves and our family.

Two loads of washing done and just loving the sunshine.

These two electric heaters are back in their home place for another 6 months or so... we use them in the Office or Sewing room because both rooms are on our South and no sun to warm us up... still got to decide what to to do with all these tennis rackets!
What a mess this area gets into during winter, our Godin does a brilliant job of warming us up so me no complain.
Almost cleaned up.

Yay!
During Winter we like to take these fly screens off so we can enjoy a better view of our garden from inside better plus more sun comes in and heats our slate floors.

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch with long long long time friends yesterday.

I have a confession to make...  I didn't take photos of us all, this photo above was taken 11 years ago but we haven't aged one little bit in that time, we still look the same.

Neill we met at Wollogorang back in 1965, Ron is his older brother and Gail is his young sister.  We enjoyed hours and hours of wonderful chat catching up with so much stuff... I did take this photo below yesterday of our beautifully slow smoked leg of lamb, so delicious

I so love the Waratah, they give me a big smile when I spy one or two.

We've tried to grow them several times with no luck and today there were heaps of them sale at Forestway in Terrey Hills... $24.95 EACH!!  I wanted to buy at least 10 of them but...  I didn't even buy one a photo will be enough.
