Dear Jackson Harry, David and Penniedarling would like to thank you very much for inviting us to your home for Dinner last night, we enjoyed a beautiful meal and wonderful company and we are in awe of your talent. Love Penniedarling XXXX

The table is set and ready for our arrival and the Menu looks exciting.

The Faux Champagne was delicious and a perfect way to start the night.

Our chef is busy preparing our first course.

 Yum Yum Yummity YUM!

Time for a little entertainment :-)

Then our Host announced that it was now Earth Hour, so all the lights went out... and it we played Charades.

Our Host and his beautiful Family.

 Two very honoured Guests :-)

Thanks to our beautiful Chef and Host!    Thank you Jackson Harry!

There comes a time when a car really does need a wash!

When I got my Rego done a couple of months ago, Jeffery from our local garage told me to tell David that my car had failed it's test...  I wasn't surprised it is 10 years old... I said what's wrong and he told me it was dirty so David needed to wash it!!!

Well...  a red light from my fuel tank went on last night and started beeping at me... so if I want to fill up tomorrow I'd better get my car cleaned in case Jeffery raises his eyebrows at me :-)

I did the inside and my friend did the outside!  Phew, now I can fill up and relax.

So what did you do today Penniedarling??

Well...  firstly I waved off David to his Bus Museum, big plans afoot today as you can see.

I wondered what the funny noise was and of course it's a man cleaning Dixie's tiles again... yes again, she had it done every few years but I can't think it's good for the tiles.

Took a photo of the top of the Laundry Chute... you can see it's never been painted in there so the wood must have got damaged by all the wet towels and children that have been thrown down there...

Had several phone calls... one of which was with Briony who informs me that she and her friend Kirsty Broard used to slide down this Chute!!!   Yikes!  It's bad enough my own kids doing this dangerous business but others peoples kids!!!!  Yikes again!

Then I made some of Great Aunt Carol's Fudge as a gift for a certain 12 year old boy who has invited us to dinner tonight... and he's cooking  :-)

Then I thought... I must get some fruit and veggies while I'm out Voting...  oh no PANIC!!  I couldn't find my purse!

When was the last time I used it??

What is in it??

How much Cash?  All my credit and very important cards...  Panic, Panic, Panic.

Calm down... think sensibly... when was the last time you saw it Penniedarling?????    Aaaahhh... At  Pennant Hills with David as he bought Felt from Craft Depot, then we had lunch.

Rang the Hotel Pennant Hills... Yes it's here!

PHEW!

Found it, nothing missing all the cards and cash safe and sound... Phew!

Then I Voted, not that it counts here but I'd rather get my name crossed off than get a fine!

Then David arrived home... with a photo of his busy day :-)

Now to get ready for our very special Dinner Party with Jackson Harry.

Firstly my 'Man about the House' relaid 100's of bricks in our driveway... then my 'MAH' cleaned the inside of one of our water tanks... now...

My 'MAH' has climbed into our Laundry Chute...
... and is painting it with left over green but paint!!

This Laundry Chute has been in use for 34 years but now the clothes are sticking and I have to get a long pair of tongs to get the washing to come on down...  Not bad for a Laundry Chute  (LOL)  I suppose and it hasn't only been a chute for dirty clothes and bed linen that has made that trip... it's been a play thing for a few naughty children in it's day... no names or pack drill... just saying  none of our beautiful grandchildren have made this quick trip down to the Laundry!!  As if they would!

Can you find our Charlie? he's the third boy on the left.

Tim entered Charlie in a Competition and won him a chance to walk out onto the SCG in today's Semi Final World Cup Cricket with Australia and India.
National Anthem's... hats off everybody.  Charlie walked out with Ravichandran Ashwin.
What fun!

But wait there's more...  this photo below was sent to us by a friend of Nerys'... Thanks Ruth!  Isn't he a good respectful boy bowing his head while the Indian National Anthem is being played!

A very nice young man came to see me today... :-)

He fixed our window all by himself... I did offer to help but he managed all on his own.

 New glass in.

Look how lovely our garden looks after a bit of a tidy up and a lot of rain.

Photo A Day Challenge - 25-3-2015 - Half.

This is the Pepper half of a Salt and Pepper set... pretty old I suppose because I remember using them at my Rodd Grandparents home when I was but a child.
Made in Japan, is this a Japanese Soldier or a British Soldier... I checked some photos on Google and except for the eyes it could be a Japanese Soldier but I can't believe my Grandparents would have owned this if they thought it was a Japanese Soldier, they weren't very fond of Japanese after the War.
Just done a search and can't find anything like this little man...

For those of you who have admired David's handiwork on our Driveway... that's not all he can do...

With a little help from Shin he was able to get this water tank to a leaning position.

Then up a ladder with a hose...

Down the ladder to check progress...

Back up the ladder with the hose again...

Why you ask?

Well!  This is why...  all that leaf mulch and muck from our blocked gutters made the water so filthy and rotting it was not doing our garden any good, so on the advice from a couple of people who know everything the tank had to be emptied...   oh the smell!
