 Very nostalgic about our holidays in our Albion Bus, here we are at Burleigh Heads in Queensland, way back in the 1980's, lovely memories of all those holidays and parties in this that's for sure.  Both Buses now belong to the Sydney Bus Museum.

I believe we hold the fastest ever record on the Mount Panorama race track in Bathurst.

Back in 1985 David drove us around Mount Panorama in our Albion Double Decker!  The only Albion bus to ever do this we believe. 
We had our four children plus three others who were their friends.

David had a Win this week...


 David bought this lathe from the father of a friend more than 30 years ago and it's done a lot of work over those years restoring both his Albion Double Decker and his Leyland Double Decker plus a few other odd jobs around the place.  Time had come to sell the Lathe as it hasn't been needed for several years now, David thinks he bought this lathe for about $1,500 all those years ago so advertised it for $1,400...  but but but... a few people were interested and one of them offered $2,000!  Not a bad win after all these years eh!

Just look at these beautiful Double Deckers which now live at the Sydney Bus Museum.

They flew in from Macao and they drove up from Canberra to enjoy the final trip on our long loved Albion Double Decker Bus.

Looking spick and span for the final Griffiths Family outing... with most of our family able to come along. 
David bought this bus 47 years ago and today was the last time he will drive it, it will still live at the Sydney Bus Museum but David prefers to drive his Leyland bus now days and nobody can drive two buses at once can they!

 Family onboard and upstairs up front... always the best place to be.

After a couple of jaunts around the City and over the Sydney Harbour Bridge we invaded a local Italian Restaurant for a Pizza or two.
