I have a new Camera, very similar to the old one with a few extra special extra's so I've just enjoyed a little play out in the garden on this very beautiful day!
My new camera arrived at 7:20am this morning... so here is a photo of a lot of small pieces of hand embroidered linen I have in my stash... what to do with them!!
Looking for Clouds in my old photos, because today it bright and sunny with a brilliant blue sky, and came across this one taken down the south coast near Eden, I've just searched my Ancestry.com for Ida but only come up with Ada Ida Rodd 1888-1964 and she didn't live down Eden way.
How does one find out who this Ida Rodd was and why a lovely long Drive, just off the Princes Highway has been named after her?

That's David's Albion Double Decker Bus arriving here in early 1972, David tried to get it around our home, (now a tennis court) and into the backyard... but... we'd had a lot of rain and the poor Albion got stuck in mud right here and had to stay for many a month! The helpers are from far right, Ian, then Neill and beside the house Ron.
When I first saw this photo above I thought the little girl was me but... I couldn't remember going to see someone off on a ship with my Great Aunt Ella, my Grandfather Clem a family friend and my Grandmother Edith... then I realized the dates didn't fit, that little girl was my Aunt Audrey! Below is a photo of me taken at about the same age. Audrey was 16 years older than me.
That's our London Taxi on the right in the shadow... and Look at those wires up above... I did a search on Google Maps just then and... the wires have gone!
This is my friend Roger, we haven't seen each other for 33 years! Roger's father was my Godfather and my father was Roger's older sister Sue's Godfather... Roger and I have known each other for almost 72 years.
But today... on Roger's 72 Birthday we met up for a lovely very very long lunch at Rodd Point.
I love catching up with old friends! Pennie, Sue and Roger.
I wish, I wish, I wish my Great Aunt Ella Camellia would survive and prosper!

Here is my Great Aunt Ella on what used to be a tennis court until she turned it in a beautiful garden at 'Carinya', St Georges Crescent, Drummoyne back in the early 1960's.
Married to David, who I met at my Great Aunt and Uncle's property 'Wollogorang' in 1964. Four Wonderful Children - two girls and two boys, Four Fantastic Partners - three girls and one boy and Eight very very beautiful Grandchildren - five boys and three girls.
