Catching up with Photo a Day Challenge - December 2019.
P.A.D. - 1.12.2019 - Out and About.
Loving our lunch with Gwilym for his Birthday at the wonderful Acre Eatery.
Wonderful thing to do with a defunct Bowling Green, check out the website, so inspiring and delicious!
P.A.D. - 2.12.2019 - Lights.
David installing the upstairs lights on his Big Red Bus back in 2002.
P.A.D. - 3.12.2019 - Something Festive.
Not only festive but very beautiful as well... Christmas Bells.
Christmas Bell (Blandfordia nobilis) is a small plant of the Lily family, one of only four species in this eastern Australian group. It entered cultivation in 1803 as a glasshouse plant in England, followed by the other Blandfordia spp. They are popular in Australia as wildflowers, but only native plant enthusiasts cultivate them in home gardens.

We just can't help ourselves... Watching a recorded episode of 'Home Fires' on telly last night I spotted this sign and of course we have one on our wall.
Although now that I look at both of them closely... they are different, the one on our wall is enamel and the one on the telly last night is cast iron. Oh well close enough :-)

Photo a Day Challenge - 15.5.2017 - Starting with A.
That's David's Albion Double Decker Bus arriving here in early 1972, David tried to get it around our home, (now a tennis court) and into the backyard... but... we'd had a lot of rain and the poor Albion got stuck in mud right here and had to stay for many a month! The helpers are from far right, Ian, then Neill and beside the house Ron.

Photo a Day Challenge - 15.1.2017 - Where I sleep... or should I say... slept!
Burleigh Heads, Queensland... on one of our many many Double Decker Bus Holidays!
This must be about 1984, we camped here for a couple wonderful weeks, just across the road from the beach.
L to R - Pennie, Briony, David, Tomos, Gwilym sitting on Tony's lap, Nerys, Heather leaning on Nerys and Chris! (Chris and Tony were young surfie boys from California, enjoying a tour of our Eastern Coast, they sleeping were in a tent beside our Bus. When Chris and Tony came to Sydney they stayed with us and only last week I heard from Chris' old girlfriend Margie!!)
Oh... and below is where we slept upstairs... about 10 people could sleep up here.
I was going to say that Downstairs was a lot neater than upstairs but.... this photo doesn't say that does it! Downstairs we had the kitchen and dining room :-) and another four beds if needed.
