The Annual Gathering of the Ku-ring-gai Quilters and their Fan Club was held yesterday... and a very successful day it was too.
Lyn and Howard very kindly opened up their beautiful home for the occasion, we sat on the veranda surrounded by enormous Gum Trees and enjoyed not only fun company and a delicious lunch but a beautiful view and a lovely light breeze coming from the bush. Another fun day!

The Ku-ring-gai Quilters are coming up for their 12th Birthday. Our
group is small, we like to meet fortnightly at each others homes and
once a year we do a little challenge revealing our work with our 'Fan
Club' in attendance.
The 'Fan Club' is awed by our magnificence!

Hurray we did it at last... back in 1998, Pennie wasn't quite sure how to set the delay on her camera, it took several shots to get all of us in the same photo all facing the same way! Hurray!
This is my latest creation... actually I started it about 10 years ago and got bored but I've rediscovered it now and am back into making different blocks.

Well I chose this beautiful Apple, Lime with a touch of Mint... it is a really delicious drink... but!
Close to midnight a couple of nights ago this bottle exploded in the Wine Room, slamming the door shut and blasting jam jars off the shelf which then crashed into some wine bottles and smashed them as well... the smell in our Wine Room is.... well a bit of a worry really, how does one even start to clean it all up??
My friend Robyn is a wonderful gardener, she grew these beautiful roses and bought them around to help cheer me up :-) Not only do they look wonderful they smell wonderful as well, brings a smile to my heart they do and cheers me up enormously as well!

I wish... at the moment I'm pretty much house bound, the only trips I take are to the Dr or the Physio with the one outing to the Pub a couple of weeks ago... oh well... it will happen, life will return to normal soon.
Nerys and Tim are doing a great job of bringing up two of our grandsons...
Not only do they play different sports, they also learn musical instruments, they can make a cup of tea and cook a light meal, they are well mannered, they can tell a good story... and now Nerys is teaching Jackson how to do some pottery... here is his first Pinch Pot!
We're all so proud of our big boy Charlie... his first school Swimming Carnival and he not only swam the longest distance he's ever swum... he got into the Relay as well!
Married to David, who I met at my Great Aunt and Uncle's property 'Wollogorang' in 1964. Four Wonderful Children - two girls and two boys, Four Fantastic Partners - three girls and one boy and Eight very very beautiful Grandchildren - five boys and three girls.
