Oh what a Beautiful Morning, Oh what a beautiful DAY!

The Sun is Shining for the first time in days, then as I head out the sliding door to walk up the driveway to pick up the newspaper I almost tripped over Milly our Water Dragon who is out hunting for yummy bugs to eat.   

Then as I headed around the house and up the drive I could hear Mandy our baby Kookaburra trying say hello with her croaky chuckle, she still hasn't managed a good full hearty laugh yet so she is very easy to hear.

I spotted two of her protectors but had to search for ages to find Mandy sitting up highest of them all, she continued to chat to me as I chatted to her, a real full on chat we enjoyed then as I headed back inside I found Milly was following me heading to the driveway to see what all the chat was about...  Mandy is quiet now  :-)   How wonderful is Wildlife eh!!

In the meantime, Milly is feeling a tad left out...

All that attention going to Mandy in the last week or so.  Now Milly is trying to get our attention, she's been living here for three or four years so maybe thinks she is the important one...   here she is sitting on top of a metal Water Dragon trying to knock on the window to get me to come out and play with her.

Photo a Day Challenge - 10.11.2016 - Home Sweet Home.

My Water Dragon is back, last year he would come to the window next to where I was sitting and tap on the glass hoping for a Blueberry or he would wait at either the side door or the back door for me to come outside...  but today he shimmied up this tree and watched me while I was in the sewing room working on my machine!

I just noticed our Shedding Dragon! Wow this is the first time we've seen this in the past three years.


So beautiful isn't she, shedding and all.

 We don't have names for our Dragons, we think that would be insulting to these Ancient ancient animals!   :-)  or we just can't think of one that would suit!

 We do not like domesticated animals around here but we do love animals of all sorts especially our beautiful lady Water Dragon, isn't she absolutely amazing.  She's been our regular pet for about 3 years now and one of her babies is still enjoying life with us as well  :-)

Three Things - The Good, the Bad and the Beautiful!

 The Beautiful - My Water Dragon is back after hibernation... Wow... the first I knew about it was his appearance at my sliding door this morning, after I spotted him he waited patiently for me while I got him some blueberries :-) 

The Bad - Yesterday, this nasty tiny little grass tick found it's way to my ear, I dug it out and here it is on an envelope with the 'Paid in Australia' on it.  Tiny isn't it!
Just look at my poor sore and very itchy ear!  :-(

And... the Good!  At last I've finished redoing the bask, cuffs and neck of this jumper I knitted for David for his 70th Birthday.   I had to unpick them all because the jumper had gone baggy in these areas, it was a tough job on the cuffs and bask but the neck was easy.


 David is still wearing his old 48 year old jumper and below the new one I made him 3 years ago... already baggy at cuffs, bask and neck!

I am so worried about this situation... what should I do?

You know we have Dragons living with us don't you... well the big Mumma of the Clan went into hibernation somewhere between the edge of the pool and the wood pile but this baby Dragon and maybe it's twin is still behind the outside Clock as you can see with the tail hanging out and a little part of it's paw as well.

Last night it got down to 8c again which is far too cold for Dragons to be out and about... so what should I do?
1.  Leave it/them here and hope for the best?
2.  Dig a nice warm hole and remove the clock and hope I can catch them?
3.  We aren't sure if we actually have two or three babies so do I hope they are keeping each other warm under there?
4.  Cover the clock over with a warm insulating something?
5.  Call the Dragon Busters??

Great Excitement, Great Excitement... everyone rushes outside to see what David's found when he was turning back our outside clock... TWINS!

 We have Twin Dragon's... who knew?  We've seen one baby running around here and there but were there two of them and we only saw one one at the time... or are these twins new? and we have three Dragon babies?   only time will tell.

Sweetest little things aren't they.
