One of my Internet Groups have been talking music lately, some prefer classical, some head banging stuff, some Rock and Roll... the first 78 rpm record I bought was bakelite, it was Pat Boone's 'Love Letters in the Sand' which had some of the others going ?????

When I popped the car and turned on the music this is the CD that was in the player... lots of long ago loved songs and singers. (well I have to admit I am over 'Duke of Earl')

What fascinated me was that they have the Everly Brothers singing 'Boom Boom Baby', I thought that was sung by Crash Craddock :-)

Are you brave enough to listen to Pat Boone I wonder, it was 1957 I was only 12 years old and Bill Hayley's and 'Rock around the Clock' hadn't come out yet.....
