Film Night!

Something weird was going on with the projector so we watched this film with lines!  'The Pirate Movie' is one I'd never seen but some of the audience had many years ago.  It was weird and funny and tried to be scary in places and all filmed in Australia which was beautiful to see.

Another lovely Outdoor Movie Night here last Saturday with some of Nerys' friends.


 First movie was Elf
I'd never seen this movie and didn't think I would enjoy it much... but.... I just loved it!  The story is really good and Will Farrell wasn't as annoying as I thought he might be.

Then we watched 'Love Actually'... again 😊💙❤️

Tim and Nerys were willing to put on another Film Night for us, we decided it might be too cold outside so inside was a much better idea!

 Tim starts planning  'The Hunt for the Wilderpeople'  is the movie of choice seeing TEAMG had just spent a couple of weeks in New Zealand.  That's my old foreign coin collection on the table, it was being inspected by several kids and adults as well.
 Preparations did go on for rather a long time but all was peaceful if a little frustrating for those who knew what plug they needed to plug this into that to make it work with sound as well... but found they didn't have that certain plug... as you can tell I had no idea what was going on.......
 Patiently waiting... Sheet is up to make a screen, Tom and Jack are very patiently waiting.
The Newtown's headed home with the two youngest members of the family.

 The older 'cool dudes' waiting around the Movie Snacks... well what's left of the snacks.
Abi showing us just how much she loves her little brother :-)

 Maybe a dance or two before the start would entertain the movie goers... Poor Tim, look at his worried face...

Yes we had subtitles.
 Sam Neill and Julian Dennison hiding from the Police.
This is a great movie, it's the second time I've seen it and loved it both times.

Wonderful Evening with Fish, Crash Hot Potatoes, Broccolini, Homemade Quinces and Yoghurt followed by an outdoor movie... Just Beautiful!



 Briony poached their home grown Quinces!  Delicious!
 Watching 'The Castle' out the back, with a sheet hung on the Garage door, it was indeed a fun day.

At the Hotel we stayed in while we were in Canberra earlier this week, they had this machine at the Breakfast Buffet!  I want one!!!!!  Such fun and absolutely delicious  :-)
