This is not an Advertisement, just a good story.
This week while at the Supermarket I was looking for a smallish cheapish toothbrush in the isle of dental things, beside me was a much older man bending over and looking at the bottom shelf of the toothpaste section, he straightened up and said to me, 'Do you know this is the only toothpaste made in Australia?'
I did not know this and looked at what he had in his hand. Cedel! I've never used this brand, I have to admit to being a glued on plain mint Colgate toothpaste user! I'm very fussy about things like this.
We chatted a little more about buying only 'Australian Made', which I am very good at with fruit and vegetables and all sorts of fresh and packaged foods but never thought of 'toothpaste'. I took this Cedel toothpaste from this man's hand and told him that I was very fussy about my toothpaste and if I didn't like it I would blame him... we chuckled then I continued to look for a smallish toothbrush now with the determination of finding an Aussie Made brand... no luck unfortunately.
I kept my eye on this older gentleman as he wandered off to the checkout with his Cedel Toothpaste and me thinking... was he a 'plant'? did he work for Cedel? Will he get a commission from my purchase? Should I put this toothpaste back on the shelf... but no he continued through the checkout and I continued my shopping with the Cedel in my trolley and my mind thinking about getting home to have a taste!
... and it is good, not too over the top, just a nice fresh minty flavour!
Gawrd knows how much it cost, whether it's frightfully expensive or not, never even came into my mind!
I am now converted 😀😀😀😀😀

Lovely few days with our little house guests, weather wasn't kind but it was warm and cosy indoors with lots of hugs and kisses!
Before breakfast - by order of the Grandmother - mini - Ice Creams!
Then it's a little telly with cereal and milk.
Remy always has something he needs 'Peepee' to do for him when he comes to visit... this time it was French Knitting. I haven't done this since I was a child but I do have plenty of 'Spools'... one a very original! I do not remember ever making anything from all the French Knitting I did when a child, I wonder what happened to it??
Love the last sentence from Wiki! very interesting.
From Wiki.
Spool knitting, corking, French knitting or tomboy knitting is a form of knitting that uses a spool with a number of nails around the rim to produce a narrow tube of fabric, similar to i-cord. Spool knitting is a traditional way to teach children the basic principles of knitting.
Spool knitters typically have four or five pegs (or brass nails), although can also range from sixteen to more than one hundred. [1]
Many things can be made from the resulting tube e.g. it can be wound in a spiral to produce a mat or rug, or if a larger spool with more nails in is used, a sock or a hat could be made. Spool knitting has also been used historically to make horse reins.
These ladies faces are just a tad different I guess they were hand painted long ago.
This was one of our Lunches... The Love Heart and Star cheese was the first eaten :-)
Funny waves for Peepee's camera!
Then there was ice cream!
Silence and Yum!
How beautiful are these native flowers eh!
Thanks Gwil and Em for letting us have them 💙❤️

I don't know what is more fun, finding some colour in the garden or photographing it, or Blogging it! Beautiful!
So so so excited to see a flower on Great Aunt Ella's Camelia, so pretty.
Love these little Orchids, looks like we might have a few more flowers this year, last year wasn't any good at all.
Puts a big smile on my face this does, lovely colour, lovely smell 😊😊😊

I took these photos 10 years ago now, I just love these wild mushroom things growing here, we've never seen them since which may be a blessing or a pity, I guess we must have had a lot of rain back then... something we haven't seen here for a very long time now, they were very pretty!

Yesterday was the 40th anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley, When I heard the news, this picture came straight into my mind...
On the 17th of August, the news came over the radio that Elvis had died ... I was taking some photos of Briony playing with her brand new Dolls house at the time, I also remember feeling shock and sadness at this news.
So every time there is an anniversary of Elvis' death, straight away into my head comes this picture... a sweet little girl happily playing with this marvelous toy, still going strong is this Dolls House which is dragged out and played with every time little people come to play, how lovely is that!
So here is a 40 year old Dolls House and a little cutie who is just a tad older.
