I started yesterday then again at 7am till 5pm today and it's still not finished!

The Larder needed a good cleaning out, so I cleared, threw out and washed and put back but my Dear David scrubbed the shelves clean... Phew!  I'm officially pooped now and think I might have to enjoy an early Marie Brizard Anisette!

I did discover that I had a collection of Tins!

And far too many cookbooks, some of which I've never cooked anything from.

Almost done, I'll finish it off tomorrow... time for a knees up and a bit of telly now  :-)

Just discovered it's been just over 10 years since the larder was cleaned out... I will be 81 next time it needs cleaning again!

     Question/Feedback:
Way back in 1965 an American boyfriend of mine wrote to his
Grandmother asking for her Peanut Butter Cookie recipe so I could
make him some here in Australia.  I have no idea where this old
boyfriend is now but I have made these Cookies for my four
children and for my 8 Grandchildren, who when offered a treat
from where ever they live, Macao, Canberra, Newtown or Hornsby...
Smile broadly and say with great excitement... Peanut Butter
     Cookies!!
Since I have been using your OzEnuts Crunchy Peanut butter these
Cookies have been the best ever... best since I started making
them more than 50 years ago.  So Thank YOU very much Dick Smith
     OzEnuts

I'd love to find this old boyfriend of mine to tell him just how popular his Grandmothers Peanut Butter Cookies are... do any of you know how I could find him?

His name is Eugene Franklin Bevens.

You know I have a couple of Collections don't you... You know I have a collection of Babushkas, I also have a collection of Lilliput Lane Houses...

But... not even I knew I had a collection of Children's Tea Sets!!

Nerys bought this down from the Loft yesterday and my brain went into remembery mode... I think that's what it's called.

This little set, well what's left of it, I think was one belonging to Nerys or Briony??

Same with this set below.  Do you remember them Bri?  Noo?

Not sure about this one, it is tiny and the teapot is missing.

This set I think was Rosie's.

I'm pretty sure what is left of this one was mine when I was a child.

Look I have a new Collection!   5 is a Collection isn't it!  Now, where will I display them  LOL!

Look who's BACK!!

It's been a long cold winter but yesterday morning I saw my little Dragon heading towards the clothes line, I said a few words then hurried indoors to get him a raspberry... by the time I got back he was coming up the stairs looking for me  :-)    What a little darling.   Bet he's gone back to bed now though it's cold again.

Digging around in the Loft... it's been a long long time since anyone has ventured up here!

The Loft used to be a great place for Sleep Overs!   We could close all the garage doors and only hear the smallest of noises.  Tom once had about a dozen friends sleeping up here at the same time.
Coming down is Briony's old bed which  might suit Elodie one day Gwil and Em??
4 chairs belonging to Nerys came down as well and were packed into their cars.
The Spinning wheel came down... I'm giving this to a friend... blurry photo.
A drawer from a beautiful Cedar Chest of Drawers came down for Nerys and Tim as well.
The Loft Team!

There is still heaps up there which surprisingly doesn't belong to either David or I.    Two sets of Golf Clubs?????  Are those yours Tom?

:-( they didn't break the record... but they did have a great time!

Each person could only roll once... and not enough people came to break the record.  Only 100 plus away from the record though  :-)
Here's Charlie practicing...

It's still Springing in our garden!

Loving our new Captain Cook Gwil :-)

Rip'n'Rosie bought us one of these when we moved in here in 1971 but it passed away aged 44... then Gwillo to the rescue!

See below from Wiki...

History.

The cultivar originated as a seedling of Callistemon viminalis. It was noted to have a more dwarf and bushy habit than usual and an abundance of flower buds as a young plant.[1] Originally known and sold as 'Compacta', the name was changed to 'Captain Cook' to mark the 1970 bicentennial of James Cook's voyage to Australia. At a later stage, plants grown from seed were distributed under this name, and the true-to-type variety, which can only be propagated from cuttings became difficult to obtain.[1]

 Oh so pretty :-)

Below is a climbing Bottlebrush growing on the tennis court... it's pretty old
 Just lovely.

Melbourne Cup Day is coming up and that means we will be awash with the smell of this beautiful Jasmine!

This vine is constantly being pruned back it will take over if we aren't careful... Basketball can still be played though  :-)  only just though.

Lovely private corner from the road... we should set up table and chairs methinks!!

Can't wait for all our new natives to grow over there on the other side of the driveway, bit blah looking isn't it.
That heavily pruned Camelia in the middle of this photo was planted by my Ghost, John Witter who was the first to own this land way back in 1930.
