So naughty I am!

My Mum Rosie had this 'thing' about Christmas Decorations, they mustn't be taken down until the 12th Night which is the 6th of January, Rosie followed this dictum for as long as I can remember.

Here is our Family story for these strict rules!

The year was 1955 when Mama, my lovely grandmother Eileen, took down the families Christmas decorations before the 6th of January,  while doing this... she fell off the ladder and broke her arm!   Then on the 22nd of January Poppa, my beautiful Grandfather Harrie died of a heart attack.

I did follow Rosie's rules for many years... then after a few years I got so fed up with the decorations I would take them down as soon as I could.

But only last week...  I saw this in the corner of our sitting room!   it's April now and these Christmas Decorations haven't been put away.  I have to admit to noticing them before but thought I'd put them away later... 'later' took a long time to happen.

We were away over Christmas so that's my excuse.....    But all done and dusted now!

Beginning our wonderful adventure to see TEAM-G and Tilly in the Sound of Music in Macao.

We enjoyed the Business Class lounge at Mascot, very peaceful and enjoyable.

We had a couple of hours wait in Hong Kong for the Jet Ferry to Taipa where Tomo would pick us up.

Christmas Day.... Yay!!!

After the presents had been opened and breakfast was eaten it was into the Venetian to Tom's Office to help prepare Christmas Goody bags for the children in the Sound of Music...
Abigail very carefully printed the name of each cast member on these golden bells which were full of sweeties.
The name of the child and the name of who they were playing.

Programme's and Golden bells packed in with more goodies for the cast.

Had to take a photo of this sign which was near the Staff Entrance to the Venetian.

Brigitta... Matilda Griffiths.

The Captain, Maria with Von Trapp children...  What a wonderful Christmas Day...

Christmas Lunch on the other hand was celebrated on Boxing day!  Emma did a brilliant job shopping at Marks and Sparks for the perfect English Christmas meal!
They even sold Pigs in Blankets!
Wonderful Christmas Meal Emma, thank you so much.

Then there's Betsy!
Betsy is a beautifully behaved dog who loves nothing more than sitting on one of the children's laps or being taken for a walk... David took Betsy for a couple of walks with a plastic bag to pick up her droppings  :-)

Stacking the dish washer!

Playing with Play Doh and filming themselves... see the Pizza they made in the bottom left hand corner and the sandwich next to it.

David and Emma!

Dessert Time... another couple of goodies from Marks & Spencer.

Abi, Tilly and I playing with our Electronic Devices :-)

Then it was time for UNO!  Rather a loud game I've discovered, lots of shouting goes on...

Soon the rest of the gang joined...  I have to tell you I did giggle when I heard Emma saying when checking the cards she'd been dealt...  'Oh there's not only Blue cards...'
It was the first time she's played UNO.

Dinner in Macau at a Spanish Restaurant... wonderful food, staff and owner was very chatty.

Next day we went to see 'Paddington 2'... we'd watched the first 'Paddington' on Tomo's telly the night before so were looking forward to seeing this second film... we were totally surprised, it was wonderful.  When we came out of the Cinema there was lots of entertainment outside as well.

Abi, Tilly and George with friends from the show...  all with funny faces except George :-)

Pennie and George Selfie!!  We spent a few hours just chatting, playing with our electronic devices and just enjoying each others company, how lovely...
Hac Sa Beach which TEAM-G live near... with the Westin in the distance.

Vilma the wonderful Nanny, housekeeper.

Tilly has written her name with the left over spaghetti on her plate.

After the third show we watched the cast of children posed with some of the audience... the queue for these shots were very very long, luckily we jumped in last and were snapped!

The final farewell at the Ferry Terminal at Tiapa...  Tomo, Emma, George and Abi... Tilly was on Standby at the theatre.

On the television on the Ferry we saw advertisements for the Sound of Music staring our Tilly :-)

Wonderful time had by all.
