Some old Christmas photos...

David reading a book that we gave each family... 'Tom the Outback Mailman'.  It's about an old Albion Truck owned by Tom Cruse and he did a mail run for many years through dessert to very remote Stations and Towns on the Birdsville Track.  One of David's favourite movies that our children have watched many times.

Before Christmas Nerys had this brilliant idea of making individual Gingerbread Houses... very successful they were as well as delicious  :-)

Sparklers! What fun :-)

Five small people made this 'hello'.
Four big people made this one... after a little practice below  :-)

 Five small people again.
 Four big people once again.

Then Pennie and David wanted to get in on all the action... but what to do???   After a fair bit of arguing we first made this 70... don't know why really, maybe someone is going to be this number this year or something like that.
Now this is truly embarrassing...  after some more arguing between David and Pennie it was decided we should do the number of years we have been married this year...
Not a bad 44..................  pity we will have been married for 47 years this year....  that's FORTY SEVEN YOU DINGBATS!!

Pennie blames David but David blames Pennie, Nerys wondered what we were doing and Jackson said he heard David saying 44, thank you Jack but why didn't Pennie correct David???

I'm putting it down to exhaustion after more than two weeks of wonderful family time... it has nothing to do with our age, anyone could become confused after all the full fun days we've been enjoying... okay... no correspondence entered into!

The Chef for our last evening was...

Masterchef Mr Tomos Griffiths all the way from Macao!   with a little help from his local staff...  cooking up Roast Beef, Baked Potatoes, Brussel Sprouts, Peas, Carrots, Corn, Yorkshire Puddings and Gravy.
While outside the loudest game of UNO was underway...
Plates were full and were refilled during the meal which was absolutely DELICIOUS!!!
Yum Yum Yum... I will never cook Roast Beef again... I will just wait for Tom to come home and do it again, then wait again....

I think it's going to be a while before I get back into the sewing room to finish that Bonnie K Hunter Mystery Quilt... Why does she do it at Christmas time?????

There is something very therapeutic about having a good fix and sort before putting away for another year...
Laundry Chute over flowing but there is something very cleansing about having a good wash and sort here as well.

Photos, Photos and more Family Photos!

Here they are, my beautiful children.

30 years ago... do you think they have changed much?  Do you know which is which?

Now to those other people in our family...

They call themselves the OUTLAWS!  Well they have that spot on!  One or two are more 'Outlaw-ish' than the others but once one starts... it's all on for all four of them!

Beautiful Beautiful People... how lucky are we all :-)

All together now...
 One...

Taking photos of Seven Beautiful Grandchildren!... how fun can that be.

First of all you take a photo of the spot you want them to stand...  without them knowing.
Take some photos of them all and when they crowd around the camera to see themselves... show them the photo you took first...  Lots of fun!!
Some are ready some are not.
 Everybody ready.
Some are naughty... most are angelic.
Great photo of the Grandchildren Pennie.
 Here they are.

Beautiful Children :-)

A swinging Family Lunch in Manly.

If it wasn't the swings it was Swing Ball, this isn't our set, it was in the park and belonged to a young couple who were sitting on the grass near by... without us knowing it the kids started playing, we apologized but the young couple were happy for our children to play.  How lovely were they :-)

Some children would much rather push the baby in the pram :-)
