I've been watching a little bit of the Paris Olympics, well the repeats really and of course I had to go back to 2000 and enjoy some of my memories of driving for the Icelandic Team.

Thank you march through the streets of Sydney when the Games were over.

Wonderful memories of 24 years ago!

It was so much fun driving the Icelandic Olympic team around North, South and West of Sydney before, during and after the Sydney Olympics 2000, they won a Bronze Medal which was very exciting because they don't win medals very often.

The lovely 'Thank You' parade through Sydney after the Olympics.

This was the Dining area in the Olympic Village during the 2000 Olympics, food was great and it was fun seeing lots of sports people so close up... I didn't remember there being a Maccas here.

Today I decided I would start writing a book about the time I was a Volunteer during the Sydney Olympics in 2000. I was stationed in the Village driving the Icelandic Team all around Sydney.

I was really keen to start my new book... until... I dug out all these folders, booklets, newsletters and so on plus I have my Uniforms, my backpacks, my water bottle... oh deary me where to start?
