Photo a Day Challenge - 25.3.3028 - What I did today.
When we first moved in here, almost 47 years ago... it was very quiet in the evenings even the local shops shut up at 5pm during the week, Noon on Saturdays and closed Sunday! Now those shops are open all hours with many fabulous cafe's and restaurants keeping us well fed, if we want it that is :-) but of course we can't hear any noise from up there, anyway...
During the weekend we can now hear the happy sounds of young people playing ball games up at the new Sports field, they have lights up there now as well.
Last night we went to bed early and could hear the last claps and cheers of a Soccer game, then this morning we were woken with the happy chatter of cyclists as they did their run in the Bobbin Head Cycle Classic... some of these cyclists were doing the 27km, 57km, 80km and even 104km... Yikes!
The event called the 'Bobbo', is organized every year by volunteers and Rotary, they raise money for many different Charities with Lifeline receiving 50%.
I love hearing these cyclists chatting away as they speed past our home, they sound so positive and happy and they are out there doing it!!
So this morning I took a couple of photos!
I stole this photo from the website!

Found this yesterday in among lots of photos, wonderful memories eh!
Sent to Mum and Dad from the Olympic Village in 2000 while I was driving for Iceland. Can you see where Iceland were stationed during the games?
