Penniedarling

I love this photo, I know it's a bit scratchy but I love the story it tells.  I was about 16 here and just loved having my own little baby brother to dress up, this was my version of  'hippy'?  and very 'trendy' fashion.  I knitted us our Mohair jumpers, made our Corduroy pants and I bought those little Desert Boots for Nick as well.  Doesn't he look happy eh!

We have a lot of 13's in our family and I guess now I actually look for it!

Our Uncle Tony was 13 years older than me.
I am 13 years older than my youngest brother Nick. (now you can work out how old Nick is today)
Nick is 13 years older than Nerys.
Nerys is 13 years older than her cousin Hayley, my brother Tim's youngest daughter.
Hayley is 13 years older than her cousin Casey, Nick's youngest.
Casey is 13 years older than her first cousin once removed, Jackson, Nerys' son.
Jackson is 13 years older than his cousin Elodie, Gwilym's youngest.

Now wait for it....   I've just discovered that our Grandmother Mama was 13 years older than her sister and our Great Aunt Nancy aka Cranky!    I just had a little search on Ancestry.com to see who was a close relative and 13 years older than Uncle Tony...  nope, can't find anyone... so that means our lucky streak of 13's starts with our Favourite Uncle Tony!  Yay!
(okay so he was our only blood Uncle but he was still our Favourite!)
