Party Time...
We invited a few people around for a sausage, a bit of bread, some lettuce and some sauce yesterday.
Here are most of them together for a photo. We have family, long time friends and old school friends.
We also offered a non alcoholic Punch... which of course had the children wondering... 'What do you mean do we want a Punch??'
So off to Wiki first thing this morning...
The word punch is a loanword from Sanskrit पञ्च (pañc), meaning "five", as the drink was originally made with five ingredients: alcohol, sugar, lemon, water, and tea or spices.[4][5]
So the English bought 'Punch' back from India. Glad I know that now.
Harrie on the right was the only 'teenager'... not for long though Harrie.
Harrie very quickly became the leader of the pack and was followed around by adoring fans.
Dom, one of Tom's school friends, the others you know :-)
Juris is a school friend of David's, Peter is a school friend of Tom's and Al is a long time friend of ours... 43 years long.
Kids!
Some of us here... who shall remain nameless... met in the year of our birth 1945, which means that this year we will do a big ZERO!!
So many lovely people and the most amazing thing about this party is that there were 18 children present, (oooppps 17 and one teenager I mean) and you would never have known, other than the happy sounds in the pool or on the tennis court or seen munching a sausage, they were the best behaved Children in the whole wide world!
I could have taken a lot more photos but people wanted to talk to me and so on... you know how it is...

Over 200 Liz, there are never any left the next day but I do have another 30 uncooked in the freezer. The combination of my local Butcher's different and Gold Cup winning Sausages and the slow cooking on our Kamado's has kids and grown ups going back for more more more...
