Really enjoyed a couple of hours up at our local playing fields watching Charlie playing Soccer... ooopppsss... sorry... playing Football.

A beautiful warmish day with a lovely light breeze in a beautiful setting.

Three Kookaburras enjoyed the game as well, cheering them on, here's one sitting on top of this post.

Hornsby played St Ives and there was no score in the first half and no score until 10 minutes before the game was over... Hornsby Won! Yay!

I was the coolest Grandmother in the audience wearing my brightly striped cardigan and odd socks but when that goal was scored I was so excited I dropped my knitting!

Yesterday I started the day watching Charlie playing Soccer... ooops I mean Football... up at the beautiful new playing fields a few doors from us.

This is Troy one of the Coaches with, Nerys who is a Co Manager... Troy is involved in the 'Mrs Hind' Story which I will write up when I have the plaster off my left hand and I can type properly once again... it's a fun story.

Freezing cold at home it was but lovely and warm sitting in the sun watching Jackson and Charlie playing Football.

We had a discussion about the name of this game, it's Football in most countries but is Australia it's known as soccer... a couple of months ago a discussion went on around a rather large dinner table...

1. It's called Football because you hit the ball with your foot!
   Well there are a lot of ball games that a foot kicks the ball.
2. It's called Soccer because you are wearing a sock when you kick the ball!
             Mmmmm.... wellll... why don't we call it...
3.   Booter!   It is the actual boot that connects with the ball with the sock and foot inside!!

So... Lets call this game 'Booter'!!

That's Jackson playing at being a Linesman for Charlie's game, I couldn't get a good photo of him playing because of distance and sun... BUT! Jack did score the only goal for his team! Yay! Jacko!!

Celebrating the 13th of the April with two boys Soccer Games!

First up this morning was Jackson's team playing St Ives at St Ives... very tough game with St Ives scoring first but Jackson's team trounced them in the end 6 to 2! Fantastic!

Then to West Pymble, getting there right at the start of Charlie's Game... well timed. Charlie played Berowra who had a brilliant Goalie but Charlie's team won 4 to 0, I think. Another Fantastic Game! Gosh the boys and their team mates play well, as do the other teams... both games were very exciting.
