Lovely to catchup with some of our family yesterday, we were celebrating some Birthdays.

Elodie, Jackson, Emily, Tim, Nerys and David and below Gwilym, Pennie, Remy and Charlie.

Lots of amazing foods... Slow smoked Pork and Salmon, Prawns, Oysters and two different salads.

Dessert was these Mangoes, Cherries, Great Aunt Carol's Fudge and Armenian Nutmeg Cake.

Gwilym's birthday is tomorrow so he got to cut the cake.

Can you believe this... Remy is 10 and Charlie is 17 but they have the same size feet  Wow!

Pennie's gift to Gwilym  - Our very 'Happy Helper'.

From a very young age Gwilym loved to help around the house, in the garden, in the garage and even in David’s Albion Bus, he never had to be asked he just did what ever he saw was needed to be done.

In 1984 when he was 3 years old, Gwilym went to ‘Iloura’ Montessori Pre-School not far from home just along Bobbin Head Road near the traffic lights,  he loved his Pre-School days and was so happy to be dropped off each day and sometimes he was hard to persuade to come home because he was so busy.

One of our local friends Margaret worked at the Pre-School and he loved helping her, especially when it came to cleaning up time which was something he also loved to do at home as well but…  what he loved the best was when the tub of ‘Gumption’ came into action and he could scrub away cleaning the school desks… this came to be known as

‘Gumption-ing’.

There was no Gumption at home but Pennie soon bought some so Gwilym could continue what he loved doing best and what he was very good at… ‘Gumptioning’.
