(American recipe from the Grandmother of Gene Bevens given to Pennie Rodd in 1964 at ''Wollogorang'.
Adapted by Pennie for Australian measurements.)

Ingredients:-
220 grams of butter
200 grams of white sugar
220 grams of brown sugar
2 eggs beaten
1 jar (375 grams) of Dick Smith Crunchy Peanut Butter
260 grams Plain Flour     -           1 Teaspoon Vanilla
2 teaspoons of Baking Powder  -           1 Teaspoon of Salt

Method:-
Cream butter and sugars
Add eggs and beat.
Stir in Peanut Butter and Vanilla
Sift in Flour, Baking Powder and salt and stir to combine all ingredients.
Refrigerate for one hour or more
Mixture will be sticky, take teaspoons of mixture and roll into a small ball with flowered hands, place on baking trays lined with baking paper leaving plenty of room for them to spread, gently press down each cookie with a fork dipped in flour.
Pre heat oven to 150c
Bake for about 15 minutes, or until browned.  Leave on trays for 5 minutes before sliding onto a cooling rack.  Should make about 158 Cookies.
