Facebook... lets talk about Facebook.

I joined Facebook in March 2011, I don't do a lot of posting compared to some of my Facebook friends but I do check out what these same friends are up to every couple of days at least.

Now there have been dire warnings about Facebook, since Facebook started and yesterday the SMH had an article 'Why you should deactivate your Facebook Account'

I love Facebook because it is a great way to communicate with my family, my children and their partners, my siblings, my nieces, my nephews, my cousins and their children, my long time friends, my almost lost and almost forgotten friends, my local friends and all their Grandchildren, my SCQuilter friends, and my new best friends!   Some of my FB Friends live overseas in many different countries, connecting with them is a wonderful thing.  In the 5, 10 or 15 minutes that I'm on Facebook each time I visit, I can keep up with, connect with and be reminded about all these people in only a very short time leaving me more time to quilt...  or find a life :-)

There are things on Facebook that I don't like, but I'm big enough and brave enough and old enough to pass by without letting it make me angry or find the need to reply plus I'm mature enough not to put inappropriate photos up of myself... Anyway I can always 'Hide' those who think I need to know they are playing games, are too right wing, too left wing a 'friend' without them knowing, then I can go in to their page later on and check to see what they are really up to later on. (I wonder how many 'friends' will 'unfriend' me after reading  this :-)

There are far more things about Facebook that I really enjoy, there is so much to make me smile, so much to make me laugh, so much that gives me a warm feeling...  I just love it!

Plus I get to see a lot of my 'Facebook Friends' in real life and I may not have seen them if I only had snail mail or the phone to connect with.

Facebook... you Rock  :-)

P.S. Thanks for the photo Dan Ilic and our very own Emily for putting it up on Facebook.

Love FB too, for the same reasons. Re "hiding friends" and checking later - well, I know where you have me! LOL That's ok by me. (I won't delete you. Nor will I hide you.) ;)I do the same thing with games and persistent right wingers. :)I have even "hidden" some who aren't in those categories, simply because they are forever filling my feed with stuff I'm not interested in. Takes too long to read the feed otherwise.

No Lindi you have no idea where I have you... because I can never remember myself LOL

I have hidden you in the past, but I missed you so I unhid you, before writing this post you were very visible! :-)

LOL
