Have you ever tried this????

Last weekend was making some of my Blini's for Charlie's Birthday these consist of Blini's bought from the Supermarket, Tzatziki spread on top of each Blini then topped with some Smoked Salmon and to finish off a little Caviar.  There was no Caviar available at the Metro up the road so David bought this Kavair below.

They tell us it's Smoky, salty fish roe spread, that's a Swedish delicacy. Great for open sandwiches, on crispbread, bread; amazing as appetisers and is perfect for entertaining.

Sugar salted fish roe 50% (FAO27) (Cod(Gadus Morhua), Saithe (Pollachius Virens), canola oil, sugar water, potato flakes, tomato puree, salt, preservative (sodium benzoate), antioxidant (ascorbic acid)

But... THEY couldn't be more wrong, this stuff above is absolutely revolting.

We did manage to find some real Caviar up at out local Fish Shop thankfully, Charlie does love his Blini's with Caviar!

These aren't our Blini's below they are figs stuffed with Goat Cheese and Black Truffle Dip wrapped with prosciutto with a bit of the real Caviar on top, I had these for lunch a couple of days ago.
